I have 1942 farmall M ( has been in the family since new) It Runs good but the cable that shifts the overdrive 9 speed is stuck. I can only use it as a 4 speed with the road gear. I need to replace or get it unstuck. It has not been shifted in over 25 years. Does anyone know if it can be disconnected and remove by removeing the plate on the bottom of the case. It enters the case on the right side thru a hole just forward of the belt drive. I have tried all sorts of Kroil oil and no luck. I think I need to replace the cable. I am hoping it can be removed without going into the transmission. any pictures would be nice. Thanks
