I have not seen any covers over the generators but a large number of IH tractors seem to have had covers, or weather shields, fitted over the magnetos. These were usually bolted to the bottom of the hood above the magneto. At a reasonable number of shows I have seen H-4 magnetos on vintage tractors under plastic bags or parts of plastic bottles. The implications are that the H-4 magneto was not as waterproof as IH claimed
