Yes, I would do whatever the shop thought was necessary. They can check out all that stuff. I didn't think it was necessary on my MD and it is a whole different machine now that I went through the head.

You need a new machine shop more than anything else! My WD-9 head was $300 and my MD head was $225. Guides, valves ground, milled, new seats in the 9.
