Try the other outlet. If you look at the parts diagram of the Super H hydraulic lift all, regardless of which one you have with belly pump or live pump, you will notice two different styles of check valves holding the load up. The one they call a differential check valve has a much smaller ball and therefore when holding heavy loads it is much easier and smoother too release to lower the load. If you are using two hoses, one on each side of what ever your are holding, you will have to T the two together to use the single outlet. I have over the years installed that style check valve to overcome just that problem you are having. If your H should happen to not have that small ball set up you can install it but you have to make sure the pin operating the ball is correct length so as to hold the load up when lever is in neutral position.
