If you move the levers to the full on (max motion) position I bet the noise does not happen. The lever turn on full hydraulic flow and pressure as soon as the valve handle is moved. this allows the pressure to be there when the valve actually lets fluid into the hose to move things. The noise is from the system being "on" with no where to go at part lever movement. The pressure reliev valve is making the noise. Very normal if as above it does not do it when the lever is full up or full down position> Jim
