Just depends how bad they are stuck, how many are stuck and what position they are stuck in. But no, you can't remover the crank with the rods in the way. But you can take a torch and cut the rods off if you have to. And yes, the pistons will go out the top if you cut the rod off. Otherwise they go out the bottom. I always get the pistons out first and then the crank if necessary
