Dad and I spent all day working on the 200 and the plow we plan on taking down to the Ohio IHC plow day next weekend. We replaced one of the rear tires on the tractor today with one that will match the other in size, so the tractor now sets level. We painted the rims while we had the wheels off. We finished getting the plow ready to go as well. The second picture shows the plow. It was not made with a tail wheel assembly on it. Someone added this tail wheel assembly off an old #8 Little Genius plow. The third picture shows what we did to finish what other person had started. The top arm (blue), which controls the angle of the wheel, was a NOS piece we had in the parts bins. We just replaced the old one with this one. The bottom link, which controls the pressure on the wheel, we made up and put on extra. We also replaced the tail wheel and tail wheel rim with some NOS ones that were in the barn. While it isn't evident in the pictures, the cover board brackets were also replaced with a used pair from the local salvage yard. We replaced the points and landslides with more NOS parts. The last of the items added were the coulters and coulter shanks, these were used takeoffs as well. The other thing we did today was paint up sets of front and rear weights. On the agenda for tomorrow are replacing the wide front axle with one that is in better condition. It will have to be cleaned and painted first. Then, the sets of weights will have to be installed. After that, I want to replace the carburetor with one that has a high speed mixture adjusting screw. I also want to paint the replacement fast hitch that I installed awhile back. Finally, the alternator wiring needs to be redone as what was on there was not functioning properly. Why do we do all of this work in the name of fun? ;-)
