Need some advice on my Model A engine cooling fan. I added some oil to the fan hub through the screw opening and noticed the oil ran out the back of the hub. I removed the fan from the tractor and disassembled it expecting to find a worn-out leather oil seal where the oil was coming out, but I did not find any such seal. Should there be some type of seal here or did I just add too much oil? I also am curious as to how the dirt would stay out if there is no seal? And finally, how much and what weight oil goes in the hub? Thanks in advance.
