Get the IH 2150 from your local Case-IH dealer. Use a nice, soft bristle brush for the cast iron parts. Do not thin the paint. Start at one end or the other, work all the way around, and then just keep going until you have 2 complete coats. Leave it alone for a few hours, and then start all over again. That old cast iron will soak up a LOT of paint, and it probably will take at least 4 coats to make it really RED. Put the paint on THICK. You can brush away the runs and sags as you go.
Get the same IH 2150 in aerosol cans for the sheet metal. With a little practice, the results will be very comparable to a professionaly applied paint job, and at a small fraction of the cost. In fact, I've seen "professional" paint jobs that didn't look as good as a "do it yourself" brushed on paint job.
