fireman18, Heck Yes it is worth that. IMO I would say the clutch is the first place to look. The clutch finger could be worn off. Seems like there has been some pics over the last few weeks of clutch finger just worn off. But if you have to split them have the TA rebuilt, or get a remaned one There are guys here on the Boards that can walk you through it if you want to take on that job! Try to find a way to do a visual on the Rear end to see if there is any thing obviously wrong, loose metal in the rear end, if not, wash out with Dsl, put in a new filter and oil and you will be done! I Saved a 656 LP back in the early spring from the Crushers! Had not run in 3 going on 4 yrs. got it home Dropped the pan, cleaned & washed out the nastiness, Dropped the Oil pump cleaned it out and washed out the Screen Reinstalled the Oil Pump and pan, put a complete tune up on it. $100 in new or rebuild kits on the LP tank Valves. Put a Batt in it and 20 revolutions later I have a Living, breathing "New to Me" Tractor I PD $1000 for mine, but it is Hip Deep in Brand new rubber all the way around 3 yrs ago. The tires had the little titty-wittys still on the tires. Any way hope this helps. Holler at me if I can be of assistance. 512-577-3837 Later, John A.
