AMAZING - The difference a spark plug can make!

My dad has a '42 Farmall H that he has not been able to get running for two years, something with the spark. I was there Saturday armed with all the 12V conversion/coil/resistor/plug info I could find. Replaced some bad wiring, a bad ballast resistor, points. Cleaned the almost new plugs. Had good spark coming out of the distributor, but the darn thing still wouldn't run. I'd read suggestions on this board to use D21 plugs. I know little about plug technology, but we decided to replace his D9's with D21's anyway. (Found out that D21's are three ranges hotter than D9's!) First hit of the starter and the tractor ran like it's got two years worth of work to go catch up on! Thanks to all who post on these boards. You may never know just how many people you are helping out!
