From what I read, Case IH and New Holland tractors will be made in the same factory, but be two different tractors with many common componets. The same will be with the combines. There will be separate combines with some same componets, such as final drives and other parts. The combine plant will be in Nebraska where they now make New Holland. They have no sight for the tractor plant yet. They will shut down the tractor plant in Racine and the combine plant in Rock Island (both union plants). This is supposed to take place in the next two to three years. How many farmers and dealers are going to wait that long for a new line of tractors and combines. It wouldn't surprise me to see John Deere market share rise more yet.
