Dont realy know why the torch deal. Round shanks can be used also but when you start going narrow rows the shovels are smaller and they had a bunch of different styles for different crops types of soil and the list goes on. Thats why different pieces of the flat bar were used and also the end on the flatbar shanks were changed for the shovels used. I have the owners manual for those used on the A the B,BN,Cand SC would have used the same shovels for the many types of soil and crops. Even have a few shovels with the I-H mark also many aftermarket ones were used. Is the rear square bar the same as on the front as that would also take different holders.I see you have the 100in rear axles. I sure wish i had that set-up as it sure would be fun to restore and show here in IOWA. Not too many even know about all the stuff that was available for those small tractors. I have two one-way plows like on the other C for the B,BN Both raise with the exhaust system although i do have the levers to make them hand lift.
