There needs to be a carefully measured (in several places) 1/2 inch clearance between the fan and the radiator core. If it is much more, a spacer could be machined to center the fan and move it closer. Farmalls are over cooled unless pulling a plow in 90 degree weather for hours. If the fan is pretty close to the radiator, Trimming the fins will be OK. It must stay ballanced, so care should be taken to remove very equal amounts. Tin snipping is not the answer. Jim
