McCormick Deering Models

I have an old operators manual that my father got with his C in the 50's when he purchased it. The print date on the manual is feb of 48. The manual shows illustrations of C's with McCormick Deering above the Farmall on the hood. Every C I have saw including mine (dad's old tractor) simply had McCormick above the Farmall. Anyone seen one of these? Were there any McCormick Deering labeled C's or were these pictures taken before actual "production"?
