H spews gas under choke

I never used the choke on my H until the weather started heading south. I decided to use it the other evening and as I cranked it over fuel spewed out the bottom of the carb. I took off the choke and she started and ran fine, just like always. Any of you guys have an idea as to what might be going on? Seems like I might have just gotten myself another winter project eh?
