I'm on your side it's your tractor do as you like Personally I have had best results with van cycle from orshlins and other stores I use thier hardner and (hold on to your hat) regularRESH gasoline for thinner. I put hardner in spray can first as hardnes seems to have lots of thinning effect. Then not much gas is required. I have had problems adding hardner in all paint befors starting for me I add hardner with each fill of spray. The cheap 20 doller gravety paint guns from harbor freight with plastic hopper on top do me as good or better job than siphon gun also all paint is used not like small amount left in bottin on syphon type good luck
