Friend of mine lost a 420 JD in a grass fire a few years ago. Sold it as scrap to a guy he knew who rebuilt it and it is now a show peice. This one had the tires and paint burned off and everything needed resealed, re-wired and hosed, plus tires of course, but when they opened it up, the fluids did not seem to be burned. This one was outside on dry grass... if yours was inside, it may have gotten a lot hotter. Same guy lost a '40 Ford coupe and a '69 Ford 428 Torino Cobra that were in his shop and they were toast. However, the '40 was also rebuilt because it did not get water sprayed on it.
