Each row has it's own box. And it is clutch lift, no hydrolick and he has it 50+ mile from where I live so I cannot go out to look. I know it is not a 56 or 58 or newer planter, just what is the difference between a 449 or the model with a A for 449A. The Deere was a 494 or 494A and differences were in toung and frame where fertilizer mounted plus size of boxes. That type of information is what I am looking for. Lookinh on the net I find books for both a 449 and a 449A but do not know the one to buy as for what the differences are.
