I recently inherited a 1940 Farmall A that my Great Grandfather John traded in a Fordson with steel wheels for in 1941. It was in regular use until about 6 years ago when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Dad died in December and I was finally able to go get it and bring it home a couple of weeks ago. It's in a sad state of disrepair but I've fixed worse. My 17 year old son is very excited to get it running. He rode on it with me and Dad when he was a baby but doesn't remember ever seeing it run. It's going to be an adventure but I'm glad to have it. It's farming days are over. I quit farming over8 years ago. It will live a life of ease pulling floats in the parade and maybe an occasional hayride.
