Thanks for all the advice on my previous post. I went back out to the farm to look at Grandpa's 1947 H.
The initial survey looked good. No evidence of any leaks anywhere.
I was really impressed. After a few minutes on the battery charger, it started right up. I drove it for several laps around the barnyard, and it really did well. Easy shifting, no issues in any of the gears that I could tell, no smoke or anything. However, I was too chicken to put it into road gear with those tires! :shock:
I took everybody's advice, and I ordered all the manuals and the parts manual for it. I trailered it up and brought it over to my house to begin cleaning. Wish me luck!
The last photo is of Granpa's toolbox that he bolted to the PTO shield. I like it a lot, actually.
