Gene--I Don't have it yet. Just ordered yesterday, so I'm not sure what I'm getting. John T said that no resistor is required for a 6 volt coil. If you notice on the diagram, no resister is shown anywhere.
OEM and Yesterday's Tractors also offer the 6 volt VR, and they don't mention anything about a conversion kit, so hopefully I'm on the right track. I'm totally intimidated by all this electrical stuff, Just never messed with it before. I'm still trying to grasp how all the components relate to each other in the system. Maybe if I mess with it long enough, it will finally sink in. Just not up to snuff yet. lol
