Hi folks, I"m getting to a point in my restoration of my "A" where I need to start putting things back together. The only problem, aside from remembering where I put everything, is, I have no idea what to use for the different gaskets on the chassis. I"ve been looking here, there and everywhere for replacement gaskets, with little to no avail. I"ve found thousands for the engine, but I need gaskets for the rest of the tractor. I want to do the restore as close as possible to original, so please don"t suggest "just squirt a bead of silicone on "er and call it good." I want to know what material I need for each location. For instance; between the axle housing bearing cover and final drive? Is it still available? What"s the closest substitution? I know it"s kind of a daunting task, but I was hoping someone else has already done the work and posted it somewhere. I would prefer fact rather than, "I think" or "I used (x) on mine." I"m not trying to be rude, and I appreciate the advice, but I"m going for original. Besides, I get confused enough. I don"t need 50 different opinions! Thanks in advance! Farmall Dude.
