Yes, the hood and gas tank are all one piece. It comes off pretty easy with the removal of about 6 bolts, maybe a couple more. Make sure you don't fill the tank up before you take it off, it is akward enough as it is without the extra weight. Post back if you need anymore help. Bill {Antique Acres}
