I talked to a guy at my local IH dealer who works on older tractors. He told me to go to the hardware store and get some weather stripping and cut it to fit. I did and it seems to work well. He also said nothing is really necessary there, but I feel better having it in. I got weather stripping that looks like tightly packed wool, but I am not sure what it is. No plastic backing to it.
