It may be that I'm not asking the question correctly, I don't know much about this. I'm pretty sure that there are different plunger sizes in the pumps, which I think equates to different fuel output rates, which I interpret to mean more HP from the same motor (assuming propor air flow to burn fuel and all other variables of course). Totally understand that adding more fuel doesn't do any good if the engine can't burn it all up.
So what I'm trying to determine is which pump has the largest "stock" fuel delivery rate without being turned up. This would be easy if I knew which tractors the pumps came from, but I don't.
I'd rather buy a pump that was set for a 150HP tractor originally, than buy a 100HP pump and have to worry about trying to turn it up without screwing something up. Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way?
