Ive been a case IH mechanic for 25 years and I dont care if its a cummins or an IH engine We allways brush paint the head and the top of the block with aluminum paint and in those 25 years I have never seen a head gasket come back, not even on the turbo charged 560 diesels.A valve grind gasket set for your tractor isnt that expensive. I wouldent chance it.
