I have done the job by just draining the oil, supporting the tractor under the rear frame, remove the draw bar. Remove two bolts, one top and one on the bottom and replace them with longer bolts. Remove the rest of the bolts and move the housing out as far as it will go. Remove all the old gasket and clean the surfaces with brake cleaner. Put a continuous bead of RTV where the gasket was and reinstall every thing. It won't pass muster with the correct police but it will leave you with a joint that doesn't seep oil like the gaskets do.
