Hi Countrygal, my brother had an IH forage box with same chain and idler. Idler broke and part was no longer available from CNH. He found one at TSC that was the same size but sprocket tooth spacing was twice the original. So sprocket tooth only went into every second link in the chain which was OK for an idler as its only purpose was to keep the chain tension. When another idler broke, we ended up replacing with a semi-circle piece of maple. We soaked the maple in oil for a day and put some grease on it from time to time.
