Never knew about extension plates until I got a manual for the IHC V-27. Dad never had or used them on the one I grew up on. When I got a 27 V, 5 years ago I discovered it was necessary to connect the PTO shaft before attaching the drawbar so I had made my version of extension plates. Sure helps on hook up. Dick
