thx for all the replies guys,i appreciate your time and help.i kept getting steering back intermittently and had orders for 10 cords of wood so i kept going and didnt fix it yet.So i need to pull the filter and clean it and the mesh screen behind it. Under the filter is a large (approx 1 1/8) bolt with a long pretty heavy spring on top of it.Is that the valve i need to pull apart and clean? The oil does smell burnt but it looks very clean and fresh like it was just changed before i bought it.Thx for the tips on bleeding the hyd system after a filter change,that will help.I"ve been looking high and low for the brake bleed bolts to no avail.Not sure y i can"t find them.....frustrating.
