I have a "54 SMTA. The tri-cycle front end shimmies real bad when you are in fifth gear. I had a gentlement tell me that if i turned the steering gear around in the top of the front end steering gear box, it would stop the shimmy. I need some help to get this gear out, and also a lot of the play seems to come from this gear, but also lower down the steering "shaft or tube". Any insight would be appreciated.
