Robert, here is the deal on your seat: If you will notice, there are some rubber bushings that should insert in the ends of the shock absorber in your seat. There are also some rubber bushings at the base of the seat and at the hinge. If you replace those, your seat will be good as new. You won't beleive the diference it will make. Yes, the bushings are still available at your IH dealer, and cost about a dollar a peice. Isn't it nice when you can make a big difference with so little money! There is one drawback however, if the shock needs replaced, and I bet it does, expect to pay around $50.00. If you do all this, you will be riding in comfort like IH intended! Phlogiston.
