The high lift or Handyman jack [same thing] are a great tool for lifting these old tractors.Always used one on the farm when I was a kid and when I bought my SM it was the first thing I bought to help me work on it. And I always use large jack stands ounc it is up. Works for lifting the front also,even on a 1206.
