I would just put it in the cylinder that is giving you the trouble. I ran D23 Champions in my SMTA at first, they have a long base and don't seem to foul as easily. Later on one of my regular plugs fouled and I didn't have a new on on hand so put the D23 back in and kinda forgot it. You can also get an extension to go under the plug that may help.
