I had to ask. IH seems to have done some odd things on occasion that were not produced en mass or well known. IIRC, there was a SA/SC diesel, but it was only produced in England.
The 5 speed would not increase top (road) speed, but provide a lower 1st gear - what the hydro-creeper option provided but without tying up the PTO.
I have a line on a SA for "parts" that I hope to make a long term project out of, including putting in a Perkins diesel and a Hi/Lo pre-tranny (for 8 forward, 2 reverse), and possibly power assist steering. And no, it won't be for sale, because it would be far too useful here to part with.

Not sure IH made a HiClear C, but they made a good number of AVs (Hi Clear) for veg cultivation. Your desire as such would be a Super AVD1, and wouldn't be too 'far out' of original design if IH had the foresight to pursue it. :D
If the project SA turns out, I might consider putting the mods into production... It wouldn't be cheap, but it would certainly add versatility to some great old iron.
