Having trouble with my light switch actually turning on the lights. I tested them before I ran the wires through the box by running them right off the battery and all three worked. I think I might be missing a wire. The photo shows the panel as it was when we removed it and we have hooked it up the same way. The amp meter is to the left and the light switch to the right. The upper wire with the blue is the two headlights. The red is from the fuse, and the black is to the rear light. Where is the hot wire? Seems to me we need some juice coming into that switch. Several years ago I converted to a 12 volt system and at that point removed the voltage regulator. I am thinking maybe there was a hot wire coming from it.
If anyone can tell me if I need a hot wire and where it connects to, I would greatly appreciate it.
