I would go for it.A single cylinder is just finr if you dont plan on carrying a heavy planter ,big sprayer.or heavyplow.For bladeing,brushhogging,other 'light' jobs-no problem.You seem to be a real 'handy' guy,if it needs a little tweaking,I;m sure you can easily fix it.The biggest problem with theos single cyl 3 points is the 2"rockshaft is too small,it twists easily.BTW,On my shopmade 3 point,the rockshaft is 2 1/2" square(the ends are machined round to accept a bushing).My SM 3pt only has one cylinder,will lift more than the frontend will hold down with a 3 1/2" cyl..The mag pump puts out 1200psi.Good luck and enjoy your 'new, 3 point!
