M&W bull pinion shaft needs to come out. You need it. On a good tractor the axle needs to come out and the bull gear moved enough so the differential and bull pinion carrier housing will come out. If the tractor is going to junk and you don't want any other parts, you could break the housing and pull it out without removing the axle or bull gear. Look for a spring anchor in the left brake pedal and a spring bracket on a right side brake cover bolt.
