The best way I've found to repair the crack in the block is to clean off whatever debris/repairs that have been made. Then sand blast the area to be repaired. Then apply an epoxy that was made to repair stripped threads. The one I used contains titanium. I got it from a bearing supply. It was about $40.00 for a pint but it has been holding for about 14 years now. After it hardens you can sand it smooth and then lightly go over it with a sand blaster to give it that cast iron look. The repair is almost invisible when painted. Because there is no pressure in the water jacket the repair should last indefinetely. Good Luck. Ed.
