I've never had an ethanol-related failure either. All the pumps are marked 10% ethanol, and my truck's gas mileage acts like there's ethanol in the fuel.
Pulled a viton tipped needle out of my Super A carb that's been in there at least 6 years, with ethanol gas the whole time. No sign of erosion, and hard as a rock. I thought it was supposed to turn into goo at the mere mention of ethanol?
Maybe the ethanol here has fewer impurities than other places? The toxins in poorly made moonshine that make you go blind if you drink it, you know?
