Farmall 350 is a good tractor. So is the International 350 Utility model. That said... the diesel engines are a real problem to find parts for, they were not made by IH. The weakest link in the entire tractor is probably the TA unit, or "Torque Amplifier" which provides the low range transmission speeds. If this thing goes out, it's not cheap, and you must split the tractor to replace it. Check to see if it engages properly, and smoothly. Don't baby this thing when you shift the TA, release the catch and throw it into upper range promptly, DO NOT "ease" it from one range to the other. When moving in high range, pulling it into low range may result in a free-wheeling situation if going down hill. When going down hill, leave it in direct drive. A somewhat vague assessment of overall wear may be indicated by how much play is in the clutch pedal when it's moved from side to side. Excessive side-play may also merely indicate that the operator tended to push the pedal left more than forward, however! The disk brakes on these tractors get a lot of bad press, but they work well when clean, properly adjusted, and when moisture is KEPT OUT! These tractors have enough power, good features, are easy to work on, and are quite durable. The Utility models really need power steering when using a loader.
