the big problem with the m up until the very late m's, was the mounting holes for the pump. the top two dont line up. also, you need to change the camshaft gear to the late m/super m gear. the early ones were light and would break with the stress of the live pump, especially on a loader. it is possible to plug the top two holes with bolts, cut them off, file surface flat and re-drill and tap new holes. they will take about half of the bolt plug out when drilling. or you can change the front cover to a super m -400 cover.
