I had the same problem. What I did was pulled off the hub there you should see the splined shaft sticking out of the housing where the seal is. There is a plate held on with four bolts. Remove this plate and between it and the housing should be some shims used to preload the bearing. Remove the shims replace the plate using only 2 bolts kitty corner to each other and tighten bolt to 100 inch pounds while rotating the axle. loosen the 2 bolts and retighten to 20 inch pounds while rotating the axle. now tighten the two bolts to 40 inch pounds without rotating the axle and measure with a feeler gauge the gap adjacent each bolt. select the shims required to fill this gap install and reassemble. Grooves in the shaft can be fixed with a speedi sleeve and i would replace the square o-ring under the outer washer.
