I thought it helped maintain depth over uneven ground, but it is not "load" sensing like draft control. My 240U has it, but I don't have any implements to see how it works. I did use the draft control on my S-55 Oliver when I had a field cultivator. It was load sensing and maintained the same load, but not nessesarily the same depth... it would work up and down to maintain appoximately the same load on the tractor. I no longer have a big garden or the field cultivator... deer kept eating the garden, so I gave up.
