I got out the brazing rods and brazed it up today. Boy was I rusty!! I sandblasted it first, then brazed. Had trouble with it pooling and spreading out during most of the job until I figured out I should have ground the surface down a bit first. I think there was sandblasting contamination imbedded in the surface and the grinding got rid of that. Anyway, I think it'll hold. I rattled it pretty good with the needle scaler while it cooled and there was no cracking, so I'm cautiously optomistic. Thanks again for the advice from you guys. Jim It's not as pretty as a professional job but I'll post it anyway. If I had another one to do right now it would look better. Prepping is everything. Jim
