Yes They are so overcooled that it takes an hour on near full load to get the temp gauge in the middle. If it gets above the middle something is plugged up (shaff in the fins), timing off, water pump not pumping well, or coolant low. They have a bypass that is too big and can be seen in the parts diagrams. Quite often the thermostat never opens. Jim
