Harvey, I'm flattered that you kept that post; I had forgotten all about it, and I certainly DON'T have a copy of it! I suppose it's stuck in the archives somewhere on this site. Your comparison to the T-Rex is a new one to me, but VERY appropriate! I wasn't very old when my Dad let me start running the M with a mounted picker, and part of the magnificent memory of the experience may be due to the age at which I started. I never did ANYTHING on the farm in which I felt both so much in control of the situation AND so surrounded by danger. One of these days I'm going to be driving down the highway, spot someone on an old picker, and surprise him when I ask if I can PLEASE run that thing for a little ways!
