The drain is on the right front bottom corner. it allows oil to run down the side and under. (I put a short length of pipe nipple in the hole quickly so as to keep mess to reasonable levels). I believe the valve will need to be taken off. The reservoir does not One screen to clean is in the reservoir. Jim
