No i did not , It has been years since i worked on any of them . But i had that with my first tractor a Farmall 450 D and we played the game of switching parts from my tractor to my buddy's 450 and up untill we switched the pump we found nothing . When i first started the hunting the problem i had one of this area's best I H man come out and listen to it and he told me OH YOU HAVE a cracked head. Well we pulled the head and found a BRAND NEW HEAD under the oil and dirt . Had it magnafluxed and nothing had it pressure tested hot and nothing had it x rayed and found no cracks. Had all the valves ground and put it back together and still had the miss . That is when we started swapping parts. and found it was the pump . Took it to one pump shop and they tryed to hose me with a huge price to fix it like 700 bucks back in 68 , as they told me that the plunger was bad and it would take twoo weeks to get one. Nope i ain't going to pay that and i ain't waiting. Took it to and Industrial equipment dealer that sold the BIG stuff and there old grouchy pump man fixed mine in four hours for 112.78 . It did not need a plunger all it needed were the cam bushing and a couple seals. Now with out going back and looking for your old post this is my guess and with out going out to the truck and digging out my old books i can not remember the spec.'s on the cracking pressures on the old injectors off hand . PLus i have my boots off and it is PLUM COLD OUT THERE and i ain't ah going back out as i am still trying to warm up from hand picking off the end rows on the one corn field to day and i froze my donkey off . Now i do not know where you took your pump to have it worked on but the guy that does my pump work is and old I H mechanic and knows the I H pumps including the R D pumps . Harry is just north of New castle Pa on Mitchell rd. IF ya want his Ph. # let me know and i will give it to you.
